One of mates (internet illiterate) has a leaky/damaged rear shock on his 1992 ZXR750.

He wants to go for a new or refurbed stock part.

Is there anyknown improvement or upgrade to replace the shock, or is the standard part capable?

Preferable a bolt on swap with no modding needed.

Cheers, Rich

Thanks for the reply.

Found a shock reconning service on ebay for about 100 quid.

Does that sound about right?

It's usually about £80 + delivery for the shock service. Still, if you have a spare shock, chances are it'll suffice for another 15k miles... unless that's shagged already.

Rich,

Shocks from the J K L & M models are all a direct fit, and also a ZX9 B1 - B4 (94-97) rear shock will also bolt straight in.

Or, if he doesn't mind drilling out the mount holes from 10 to 12mm on a GSXR1000K1, 2 or 3 (possibly 4 too) rear shock, that will also go in and is a good cheap upgrade. Thumbs Up
