i am having to take my bike test again!! dvla removed some years ago, i actually passed it in 1969, so i got a cb125td-c for £100, it needs some work, and money is tight at the mo, i have done some tinkering work on it, got the engine to start, new plugs strip carbs, had to buy a pilot jet for left pot, but its still misfiring on right, give it a handful up a private road and she`s off, should i have bought 2 pilot jets? if anybody out knows where i can get spares from please let me know, breakers yards and the like.
thanks. dave Crying or Very sad

Swap the pilot jets over - if the new one cures the right misfire, you know you need another one Smile

As far as spares are concerned, give David Silver a try :-

"90% of carb problems are electrical".

Handily, everything in the ignition system is seperate for the two sides of the engine, it has two CDI units, two pickups, two coils. You can swap parts from one side to the other until the misfire changes sides, then you know where the problem is.

I remember on my one that the carb needles used to come adrift from the throttle bodies very easily if you didn't get them in bang-on square fitst time. They're just held in with a little spring clip, if you caught the needle on the side of the main jet hole, it'd push out of place and rattle about loose.
