Has anyone fitted one of these and how hard are they to do yourself?

Also if anyone has a kit they are no longer using I'm willing to buy it off you.

Cheers,
Rich

Should not be too hard. Although getting the carbs to sit right on the air box fittings can be a real pain.

Thanks, when you say getting the carbs to sit right do you mean balancing them? Or is there some rearranging to the way the bike is physically arranged.

herbal, you dont even need to remove the airbox, i assume these are the metal washers?

Smply get an allen key in, undo the engine intake manifolds (i expect theyre made of aluminium as my '97 was) and slide the metal washers in place, thread the bolts back up and tighten.

Two words of warning/advice.

You'll have to pry the inlet manifold backwards doing it this way to make space.

Put some liquid gasket or sealant on both faces of the washers as i had air leaks without the stuff.

Metalforever, where did you get your restrictors from?
The installation sounds pretty easy, but I'm having a hard time sourcing them from anywhere but FI International (rip off merchants)

Me again. I found a motorbike breakers on Ebay who have a restrictor kit for £12. However they can’t tell me what year of bike the kit came from, only that it was a 91-99 diversion.

As far as I can find out there have not been any major changes to the mechanics of the diversion between 91-99, however I’m not particularly knowledgeable about the Divvy.

Does the restrictor work the same way in all the bikes in the 91-99 diversion? So if the kit came from a 95 Diversion will it work in a 98 Diversion?

Cheers

There was a carb change for the '96 Divvy - depending on where the restrictors are fitted, they may not work, but it's likely they are just a washer that fit in the inlet, which may not have been altered.
