I can't sleep with music on either, I always need silence and dark to get to sleep, hence I can't sleep in cars, on planes, on ferries or much else.

If I had to choose something I'd probably go for something soothing and classical, the rest of my music collection is definitely NOT music to sleep by

The trick was to try and get to sleep before

Pantera : Suicide note part 2 started.

If that didnt work then Led zeppelins - Moby dick normally got me right to sleep. (you can save you silly puns about the dick part lol)

Cannot sleep if there is a fucking bluebottle in the room. My neighbours must think I'm crazy, running round the room in my boxers, waving a t-shirt about. One always seems to manage to get in somehow and they will not stop and settle anywhere, you'd think they'd run out of power after a while.

but I seem to have lost breakaway which is rather annoying.

Anything but it has to be with headphones and not speakers for some reason, either that or no music at all.

Some music can wake you up though (as they're supposed to 'peak' you back up)

When living in the Midlands, used to set Chill radio on my DAB radio to play for 30 minutes on sleep mode. They used to have a theme some nights called "The dream factory", my god, how it worked.

I'm also someone who generally cannot sleep with any sort of sound either. Can't sleep in cars, trains etc, but the chilled music just sends me to zzzzzzzzzzz
