 |
|
I'm a Harley / Vespa rider posting for my first time on BCF and was hoping for a bit of advice (in between the piss taking .
Got to get a puncture repaired on the Harley and wondered if any members have used a garage near Medway Towns (Rochester) that they can recommend. Obviously it being a high performance track day machine I'd like it done properly
Also is it best to take tyre off rim first or is it safe to let garage do it.
If it helps yes I'd love a proper sports bike - but having tried a few I chose the Harley as I simply don't trust myself on an even remotely quick bike (lack of reflexes due to age and lack of skill to ride one properly).
The old vespa? cos it both scares the crap out of me and makes me laugh at 45mph.
Cheers ____________________ Current - Vespa Sprint (haha "stroll" would me more appropriate) and a Harley Sportster (which it very obviously isn't). Let the piss taking start! |

Welcome.
Unfortunately I can't help you with the best place to go, but any local garage should be able to fix it quite cheap. Not sure what tyres a Sportster has, but with any tubeless motorbike tyre they can only repair a puncture if the hole is in the middle. Sometimes they can't or won't if it's nearer to the edge (more so with a radial tyre).
Can't see a problem with letting the garage take the wheel off but perhaps you could save a couple of quid if you can do it yourself. ____________________ H100 Breaking for spares |

I was gonna say that Watling Tyres in Swanley helped my other half out when his XT got a puncture. Other garages tried to charge him a fortune to get it fixed but they were cheaper and way more helpful.
Glad you got it sorted though |

Hi mate, Glad you got the tyre problem sorted out. I couldn't have helped, but I just wanted to applaud your bravery in admitting to having a Harley and a scooter on here ____________________ "I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me."
