where is best to get an outdoor bike cover?
any places doing christmas special prices?

FWIW I found the bike covers at Argos in store had been reduced the other week. Not sure if that was a pre-Christmas deal and I hit it right or they're all reduced. Just checked and web site has them full price, might be worth checking in a store.

They're ok for light use. One I'd recommend is an Oxford Stormex one though.

Ive had two from halfords and worked fine (lost one I later found is the reason I have two). Still use one that Ive had about4 years and used on 3 other bikes on the RXS and still good as new.

Was about £12-15 at the time

I went and splashed out on the R&G superbike cover when i got my current bike. It was Top recommendation in Ride. Having used it i now wish i had either got another cheap one off ebay like before Think that cost me about £12 (was alledgedly a non branded Motrax one) or had spent a bit extra and gotten the Stormex.

The R&G one has started to scratch the paint from above the tail light on mine. It does have a padded area which runs down the centre of the cover but is still made from a tough plasticy nylon type material so obviously a lot of windy movement has now led to these scratches I have now resolved the issue by sticking an old neckerchief/buff type thing over the tail unit before fitting the cover but have to say i didnt expect to need to do this with a 'recommended' product costing £40!
