Dunno about the Arai but my 2yr old HJC CS-R1 has a tiny raised lip which has now started to fall off meaning i now get an anoying wind noise and draft in my eyes ____________________ Harold_Shand wrote: I suppose it's like anything, you get your fingers burned when you start out, you learn from it and eventually become a complete arsehole about the whole thing. |

Shoei or Arai.
Which ever fits your head best.
I have both an Xr1000 and an Arai Quantum (old!)...
Personaly prefer the fit of the Arai, but neither hurt my head. I did have to change the cheek pads to thicker ones in the Shoei though. ____________________ Suzuki GT250 x7------- Fazer 600------CB250RS------Aprilia Rally 70----- Bandit 600

you put shoei on from the rear of your head, as the inside is curved at the back, if you try and pull it down from the top you'll find it more difficult, and the shop staff should have advised you of this |

I have Arai Tour-X and Shoei Synchrotec. I think Arai has better sealing than Shoei. There's last "Click" on Arai when you close the visor, but not on Shoei. ____________________ own:2020 Serow 250

I have the new quantum which if I am honest so far is not pushing my buttons. Flimsy thin visor and the mechanism feels a bit clunky. Also got the Shoei xr-1100 and shark rsr2 carbon and I tend to wear the shark most out of them.
Just testing the arai so it may redeem itself somehow during the review - time will tell.
