I preferred your roasting of the police officer in your Bus Lane video.

Good spill though. Thumbs Up.

I had the same happen to me earlier in the year on ice. No input to steering, brakes or throttle, the damn bike just went from underneath me.

Hope there's not much damage to you or your bike.

I hate to say it but that ice was easy to spot long before you hit it... Keep an eye out for it in future dude!

Hope you and the bike are ok anyways.

Pretty much exactly the same thing happened to me last week on the ride into work, sadly I decided to crash in a fairly busy carpark instead Laughing

I should have seen it coming when my foot path was iced up good, but the roads on the way in were absolutely fine, I turned into the carpark, looked to maneuver over to the left and the front wheel decided it'd rather go right instead, I don't think I've ever been put on my arse so quick Smile

Still, at least it was on the GS and it now has matching go faster scuffs on both sides, the car park was so slippery I could practically have pushed the thing over to the bike parking on it's side. Good times Smile

I realy hope your pal serviced his bike after it got swallowed whole in your other vid, and well done for your pal on the dt tackling that rock step.

Your bike seems to spend a lot of time running on its side too Laughing

Ah, I remember that video now. You're a true man for taking it as well as you did and to just keep on riding like that. Saying that I just think you need a bike with bigger tires for more traction Laughing

Hope you're ok Thumbs Up

Interesting, was there anyway you could avoided the crashes or were they set up?

I also watched the vid where the BMW police car stops you - it was asked for tbh. Once you noticed the fuzz behind you you developed a habit of doing 'lifesavers' and you never offer your license to them, I actively 'forget' to have mine on me, if they want ur info they have PC's in their cars/bikes hooked up for all that stuff.

So what was it 30mph or 60kph?!!? Thinking

60kph is 37mph (and 30mph is 48kph).

I presume you are listing in KPH for our european chums? ... so perhaps that is including the euro exchange rate, or 12kph of commission?!!? Laughing

Tried towing for the first time last week.
Went well considering the 'rope' I used was a short piece of rucksack strap Rolling Eyes
(it got Tatters to the downhill bit anyway). Thumbs Up

I have since made a new towing 'rope'.
It is over 5 metres long ... and has rivetted loops.
One loop is big enough to go around handlebars or used as a grab handle. The other loop is so you can lasso the towing bike. Thumbs Up
Quite proud of my new piece of kit ... fits nicely into my fender bag ... and I reckon I will be able to tow any of the SE Off Roading monkeys out of trouble Smile

Kool, BTW, I have seen some bike towing and it seems the tried and tested method is using the pegs.

i.e. Put one loop round the tow bike peg and the other end/loop round the towed bike peg, but on the other side (e.g. tow bike RHS, towed LHS), being down at the pegs means it doesn't tug on steering, and being on opposite pegs means the bikes are naturally offset, reducing chanced of a 'shunt' Cool

See detailed 'paint' diagram for clarification!! Very Happy

I understand the peg bit, but the second bike would have a problem turning left. Would it not?
