There is a seperate LED strip at the top for the brake light, which i forgot to mention. If you look closely this picture you might be able to see it. Its clear plastic and under the rear Grab/Passenger rail.

When i have more time next week i will redesign the main circuit to work as a brake light. I ran out of time for today so just used a generic LED strip instead. ____________________ CBR1100xx - BMW K1100 - BMW K100 - Triumph Sprint ST 955i - Suzuki GSX-R 600 - Suzuki DR 350 - Yamaha XV 750 - Honda CBR 600 FM - Yamaha XT 600 - Yamaha Rs 200 - Honda NSR 125 |

Haha. Yeah it is pretty chavvy. I quite like it though. Just preference i guess. I just like the way it matches the tinted screen.
If i turn the main beam on you can't really tell its there.
Will it pass an MOT with a tinted front light? I have no idea what the rules are in this sort of stuff.
Anyway i was going to add a Front LED fog light today but the weathers been to bad. Maybe tomorrow. ____________________ CBR1100xx - BMW K1100 - BMW K100 - Triumph Sprint ST 955i - Suzuki GSX-R 600 - Suzuki DR 350 - Yamaha XV 750 - Honda CBR 600 FM - Yamaha XT 600 - Yamaha Rs 200 - Honda NSR 125 |

I call neither chavvy man but that's just personal opinions
As long as the headlight omits light I don't think it's a failure . In my youth I got hold of a can of spray on paint for headlights and did them blue . Safe to day I got pulled 2 mins after applying it
Their advice was as long as it's not interfering with the colour of the light being shown then it isn't an issue . You wont have that issue being black , just have to make sure the light isn't greatly reduced I guess
I dont see how a MOT station can tell exactly by how much percentage the light is reduced ( without having another of your bike to compare ) . I'd ask the garage you use before hand though . ____________________ www.dt125.co.uk |

Edit, When did you get this CBR? what happened to the XT? |
This CBR was my first big bike. The XT was actually only bought a few months ago.
Anyway some pics.
Picked up this universal exhaust tip from Ebay for £10

Then pretty much stripped everything down, removed the passenger pegs, Rails, Repainted the swing arm, Hugger, Rear calliper, Grab Rail, Subframe and such. Fogged the rear light, made a licence plate holder out of some sheet metal etc.

As i said, i was going to post a step by step guide on what i did but could not be bothered in the end due to lack of interest. Spent hours making the thread on the restoration of my XT 600 and only got a few replies.
Anyway for those of you that are reading, enjoy. ____________________ CBR1100xx - BMW K1100 - BMW K100 - Triumph Sprint ST 955i - Suzuki GSX-R 600 - Suzuki DR 350 - Yamaha XV 750 - Honda CBR 600 FM - Yamaha XT 600 - Yamaha Rs 200 - Honda NSR 125 |
