Which of these boots do you think would be the best? I realise the RST ones are more touring boots, but just wanting to know which pair others would choose. They need to be waterproof.

Swift Torsion Boots
Spada SlipStream Boots
RST Boots

I'm on a budget, cheers Smile

I doubt either will be waterproof for long, I won't trust anything that has racing printed on it in big letters either Laughing

I've not had the other 2 but I've had a pair of those RST Vortex boots.

While they are comfortable and waterproof, the soles wore through very quickly at the contact areas for the rear brake and gear lever rendering them NOT waterproof from underneath Laughing

That said I would still buy another pair at that price as they were very good while they lasted Thumbs Up

Might be worth looking around and seeing if you can get a pair of Astars SMX4 WPs, mine are 3 years old and are still utterly waterproof, no holes and nothings fallen off. They were discontinued last year but I still see the odd pair about on clearance Thumbs Up

I agree mine are 2 years old and still 100% waterproof, I got mine for £130 I think. Definately worth it, If I needed a pair I would buy these again in a heart beat

I've had the Spada Slipstream boots before, same ones as them but in red and they started falling apart at the seems after 6 months.

I got some of these when i wore through the left boot sole of my A* Web Goretex boots - bit of contact adheisive and a knife to trim the sole to fit the boot and its fine. The rest of the boot and the right hand one are still good so should get a few more years use from them yet - even if I have to replace the left sole again for a few quid. They have never leaked and are really comfy.

Thanks guys - The RST ones seem to have bad reviews all over the place, so it's between the Swift and Spada ones at the moment I think!
