'eek' noises could be anything from brakes to a squeeky seat. try and find out when it does it and where it comes from. Warm the bike up fully (10 mile ride) and let go of the throttle with the bike parked up and not in gear. Rev's should be about 1000rpm. If they need adjusting there will be a knob on the side of the carb you can twist. If you can't see it, open and close the throttle whilst looking at the carb and you will see something moving with the throttle. the screw will be next to the moving bit
Doing this will make it harder to start without choke so make sure your using it! |

I believe I need to; clean, replace, inspect my brakes.
I heard the noise again today I am not sure whether it is always there or just at certain times, I believe it to be something to do with something circular as it is paced along side speed, so warped disc is a posibility, not looked at the carb yet but that needs to be check I think I might also have water in there or something oh joyous is the pleasure of biking.
Thanks for your help guys much kudos ____________________ Squires. Yamaha XT125X - sold. Yamaha DT125R ['97] |

XT125s are a bit of a pain but tbh, with care and attention are a quality bike, granted most that i have worked on have been majorly neglected.
And problems, please feel free to message me. ____________________ Haz ER-5, innit! |

It was a "125 specialist" place I have no idea what they have done, I have the bike running and it is smoother than what it was previous although still needs a little tinkering, taking it to girlfriends uncles who has a lot of bikey things in his garage YEY TOYS and sorting it out there now.
Service soon aswell so that should help sort a few of these problems out. That will be a a yam dealership, I found one with a workshop
*edit* The chain is also super slack so now have to find the correct sockets and such to sort that, oh this bike is FUNN FUNN FUNN ____________________ Squires. Yamaha XT125X - sold. Yamaha DT125R ['97] |
