brake light not working??

hi guys


just put my triumph tt600 in garage before it goes off to the dealers to fix starting problem!!


I noticed when i pull the front break leaver the light does not work?
when i press the rear brake it lights up fine.its mot time and i need to try to fix asap?

any ideas??

the button on the brake has gone?
i find mine clicks when i pull it in, guessing thats the button for the rear brake light to come on.

probley mean the switch that works the break light.

be on the handle bar right next to the lever.

best way is disconect the wires and touch them together with ignition on brake light should come on , if it does then the switch is fucked/rusty etc etc, if not check the wires might have a brake in there somewhere?

mine went on the back last week a wire had snapped and the switch was badly coroded so stripped it down and cleaned and greased it up...

easy to do mate..

If it is the switch, try cleaning it up with some isopropyl alcohol or contact cleaner (spray it on and work the switch vigorously). Silicone grease all over it afterwards will help stop corrosion in the future.
