At the moment I'm building a suzuki/honda hybrid (click on the link in my sig for more info).

I need someone who owns a rolling Suzuki RGV250 to measure something for me.

I need the swingarm pivot point height, from the centre of the bolt to the ground. The bike needs to be stood upright and dead level and for the dimension to be measured accurately.

Please someone help me out, the project has come to a bit of a standstill because i can't jig the bike up.

I am in bexley heath if anyone owns an RGV close to me could i come round and measure it myself? Theres a couple of beers in it for you Thumbs Up .

Tim

could probably get a good guess from the picture?

17" rims, plus 6 inches for tyre diameter = 23"
half that
then add what looks like about 3 inches height difference.

so my guess is 14.5" ish. or about 370mm

Always good to guess.

I'd say 732" +/- 15 mm.

fucking lol. a full tank and an empty tank of fuel will give you more than -/+0.5mm movement unless you plan on using a piece of metal bar as a rear shock.

Find the seat height specs online and use that to chock up the frame.

Rather than having to dish out some bear tokens. How about a bit of Karma to someone good at maths.

From the pic's you already have the rear wheel in place.
Therefor you know the height of the wheel spindle. You also know the length of the swinging arm from the rear spindle to the piviot on the frame.
So it is only a matter of working out what the 8 degrees droop angle is in m/m to get the height of the piviot.

So you just need to post height of spindle and length of swinging arm between spindle and piviot and its should be quite easy for them to work out. Thumbs Up
Sadly I'm crap at that sort of maths. Laughing

Feel like i'm back at school lol
Rear wheel spindle height = 306mm
Swingarm length = 525mm
Swingarm droop angle = 8 degrees
Solve for swingarm pivot point height?

Have posted on RGV250.co.uk aswell.
