Just booked this up as the weather is dry for a while, so next Thursday, who's going or want's to go?

I am getting the jitters already! Very Happy

Still too cold! And the Indy track is way overpriced.

I was looking at maybe doing an open pit lane at Cadwell.

I hope I have a good day too, I do agree with you that it's overpriced, but the indy track is priced up as £105 at the moment, if that tickles your fancy Wink

What a cracking day, weather was dry all day and wasn't too cold.

I got bumped down to group 1 as group 2 was too busy, but to be honest it turned out for the best. It was not that busy, only about 2 first timers and a handful of slow chaps, no traffic, and the rest were pretty good.

The bike had acceleration issues in mid rev range then once it hit 11k rmp plus it acted like it normally does, maybe a dodgy plug. not sure! Thinking

Had a good race with a few bikes and other sessions I took it at my own pace to get used to the track again. I finally cracked paddock hill bend, the line and speed. Got my knee down there a few times, rather chuffed with myself. Very Happy

All in all a good day and I can't wait to do it again.

Here are a couple of pics of the day;

Sweet! KD on Paddock Hill is pretty good going IMO, I've only been there once but I was nowhere near acheiving that, takes some bottle that bend.

paddock hill is so rewarding when you get it right, best corner in the country.

i just need to crack surtees now and I will be on it. Im racing there next weekend.

how did you find the new tarmac bishbash? alot of peeps rekon it was too slippery for them but I had no issues in the dry.

New tarmac is beaded in nicely, had no issues on it at all, it is so smooth, in fact it gave me more confidence going round there.

They have also laid a new section on approach to paddock hill bend as well. It is only a small section, so not much to worry about.

Oh your racing huh, what time is the race? Might pop down and watch.

Well i made a bit of a tit of myself going up to a guy on an R1 and asking if he was you!! Obviously he wasnt and looked very confused!!

Remember seeing that fleece later in the day.

I had a pretty good day, took me til the 3rd session to get into the swing of it (only had my bike 4 days) once i did it was a very rewarding day and i felt like i made a lot of progress. Was conscious of where i could go faster etc and started making changes.

The little Triumph acquitted herself very well indeed, getting the jump on many a bigger bike out of Clearways and down the straight.

Heres some pics..

The one with the tinted visor is my favoured crash helmet, however the clear visor for that lid is fucked. The helmet with the Nurburgring sticker has a clear visor fitted but i couldnt find the tinted visor for it.... i had to swap helmets for the sunny bits rather than just visors Laughing

Did you stay for the last session? If so, did you see that monster crash?
