Check the colour of the spark plug.

get ready to catch any fuel that comes out and undo the drain screw at the bottom of the carb, there should be a steady flow of fuel.

Do you still have spark when this happens? Check for us, pull out the plugs and ground them out to the head and turn the engine over when you have the issue.

Have just gone through a week long quest to identify a pickup coil as my issue. They can also be known as ignition sensors.

Have heard that when they begin to fail, that they work fine whilst engine is cold, but as soon as it heats up the spark goes. however, pickup coil failure is total and there wont be any misfiring or such forth, it'll just stop working. Eventually it wont even work when cold

Hope this helps, if it is not the case, i'd get in and either get the carb serviced or service it yourself if you know enough

Good Luck with your issue

If this is a 2 stroker, you sure you have 2 stroke oil going in?

Lmao

He wouldn't have a motor left if he even tried that once. I've seen it done when I was quite young and the engine died a quick and very painful death.

Sounds like hes describing this as a repeating problem, and a 2 stroker wouldnt forgive that. He would know by his top end lunching, seems to describe it just dying, not lunching itself.

Clean out your carb

leave the petrol cap on the tank open, go for a \careful\ ride, and see if the problem has stopped.

Good one, didnt think that that the tank vent may be blocked.

Should take a lot more to stall than it does if it were the vent though

What do you have to do to restart the bike? How long do you leave it?
