as some of you may remember, my bike wouldnt idle from cold.
someone suggested i adjusted the idling screw.
ive done that, and its perfect now, but when i go to set off or open the throttle, there is no power then it will all come all of a sudden.
is that something to do with the air mixture screw i fiddled with by mistake before i found the idleing screw?

Hi,
Haynes or similar should spec the number of turns out for the idle mix screw. But if you dont know try screwing it all the way in, then backing out 1 and a half turns as a starting point.

With the bike warmed up tweak the throttlestop/tickover screw so it idles reliably, then try moving the mix in and out...you want to find the point which increases the idle the most

then back off the tickover screw if its idling a bit high

tedious but relatively straight forwards

use a good screwdriver thats the right size...someone in the past seems to have done mine with a sodding impact driver

cheers
Rich
