Congrats.. welcome to the 33bhp gang.
I got my NSR late May too so mine must of been one of the last aswell. Derestricted it after about 1,500 miles. Done another 2,500 ontop of that since. And yeah the exhaust restrictor is a bugger but it's worth it.
Have fun, I did. ____________________ Hull & Yorkshire Bikers - Sheffield & Yorkshire Bikers - Manchester Bikers - Nottingham Bikers |

Just buy an old model. So much easier
Enjoy the extra power.
But its closer to something like 24bhp from the NSR and not 33bhp. ____________________ Regards

Yea mine is 23.7bhp.
Yours might have marginally more bhp because mine's done a lot of miles without anything in the engine being replaced.
Enjoy the extra power though, it's great for a few weeks. |

northie, i had exactly the same thing a little while after i de-restricted mine, the throttle wasn't opening fully, was just being blocked by something, or so it felt. Basically, if that happens and the throttle snaps back when you let go of it, its not the cable. The problem I had was that somethnig had worked its way loose at the carb end of things, I couldnt fix it myself, got a garage to do it, but im reckoning its the same problem. Good luck |
