Okay, Because I work 9-5.30, most machine shops and such are shut when I finish work. I need to be able to get my inlet manifold threads sorted... Is there anyone local in the west midlands (Shropshire way) who'd be able to come round one evening and sort them out for me????
One has a stripped thread inside, and the other has a sheared bolt in which needs drilling out and such.
I obviously dont mind paying, but I just cant seem to find the time to get it sorted... Or at least the time where anywhere is open.

Bit far for me since I’m in Switzerland at the moment… Smile …however it should be something you can do fairly easily. I had a stripped thread on the other side of the barrel for one of the exhaust studs and was worried about trying to fix it with a helicoil type insert.

I shouldn’t have worried though. The process was very straightforward and worked a treat. Getting the broken stud out in the first place was hardest bit.

See here: https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=149709

Do you have a place to work on it? Now the evenings are lighter I find I get more motivation to carry out repairs. My next task is to replace my barrel and piston after my last ones lunched themselves.

I know of an engineering place in shrewsbury that would sort it out no problem, provided you can get the bike there.

Cant upload, This is a work pc and I dont have the internet at home lol.
The inlet manifold isnt the problem, It's where the manifold bolts INTO the cylinder. the bolt has sheared off in there with no stud protruding. and another one of the threads is completely stripped so needs tapping....
I can take the cylinder off, That's not a big problem as I'm used to engine strips. the problem is finding someone who's available to do the work after 6.
If u can, Email me at alex.wilson@gekodirect.co.uk as that's my work email! I email pretty much immediately as I'm in telesales with nothing to do lol

Out of interest why can't the broken stud be drilled?

You can buy some good drillbits and a set of taps for under £20. I'd suggest you do that and do it yourself.

I havent got a decent drill, not only that, but I'm not too confident on doing that at the moment.
