You'll struggle to get one of a decent quality with an internal sun visor IMO

Cheapest but best one I'd tried with the internal visor would be a Shark S800/900 (can't remember which) which was pretty light, well built, comfy and according to reviews was pretty quiet too which is bonus. They're about 140 quid though, I think.

V Can lids. They do both flip and full face. Has the sun visor Thumbs Up I got full face with bluetooth mic and earphone (only one side) but that is a bit of a bonus as you can still hear road noise with music going.
All for £89

info here

Bought from Bradford M/C.

Was just going to say Caberg. Mine cost £100 but I know you can get them a bit cheaper. The drop down sun visor is a life safer Thumbs Up

Sadly that's pretty much where my knowledge of helmets ends still, and probably won't improve until I next have to buy a helmet. So while on the subject, what would be considered as unsafe to wear while riding? I think I've had it about one and a half years, 10k miles and a couple of light(well, kind of, speed was in double digits) impacts to grassy type surfaces. It still feels like a solid helmet but I always wonder if I ought to be more paranoid Laughing

ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston?

thanks those V can ones look pretty decent for the money.. i think i need to try a few on as my present one seemed tight to start with but now feels like its being sucked off at speed and seems to be able to move a lot..

Mine does that when I'm on the motorway, if I check my blind spot it tends to move around a bit which is a bit annoying!

That would be considered unsafe. As soon as your head hits the floor the internals of the helmet compress rendering it useless if it takes another impact in the same section.

It might look alright from the outside, but I wouldn't chance it Neutral

Sad I can't afford another helmet just yet. Tell ya' what, I'll get one in a couple of months! (by double digits I meant 50MPH but it was a surprisingly soft landing)

Fair shout, its up to you. I personally wouldn't feel safe using it though. Its definately worth investing in a new one if you can. Thumbs Up A 50mph off (even a soft one) can do some considerable damage to your helmet Neutral
