I have tryed everything to get the top end of my friends pit bike. I placed a bit of wood on it and hit it wi the hammor with no luck. Is there any other tricks i can try to get it removed. I might add that it will buge a wee bit here and there but it will "Pull" itselft back in place.

TBH if you are asking how to remove a top end on here, you shouldn't be doing it for a mate.

Just make sure every bolt is out, piston moves freely etc

Go through everything that attaches the top end to the bottom end and make sure everything is undone.

Actually, he probably did give you the proper advice. Remove the CCT (camchain tensioner) and release the camchain, remove the cam. If you have already done all of this then it's probably springing on the head gasket, which is probably stuck on the dowels.

It will if its OHC. Not if its pushrod. If you have no idea what you're doing, and you clearly don't, leave it alone until you get a manual and learn what you're doing.

They run a cam chain up the left hand side of the engine.

Underside of the crank cases. There is a 14mm bolt. Unbolt this and the CCT will be released.
Top of the engine, On the right hand side of the cylinder head. There will be an 8mm or maybe 10mm hex bolt in the middle.
Undo this, It's a long bolt which passes through the head, And holds the Cam sprocket cover in place.

The cam sprocket cover will fall off in your hand pretty much. And then you can go about releasing the Cam Chain.

Best way to do this, Is to unbolt the sprocket it's self. Then wrap a small cable tie through the middle of the sprocket, And over the top of the chain. So you hold the teeth in place on the chain, and dont knock it out of time.
The sprocket only bolts back on one way, So providing you keep the chain and sprocket connected, You wont need to set the timing up again.

Hope this helps.
