Tyre has "slight buckle on sealing beads"

Looking at a Continental Road Attack tyre on ebay. Brand new but is has "slight buckle on sealing beads, but fitted and sealed ok, no leaks when tested". Would it be wise to buy it?

It's either that or I get a set of Pirelli Diablo Strada's.

You don't know how the bead was damaged , beads are strong and anything capable of damaging the bead could easily damage the caseing plies which pass around it.

If it is a manufacturing fault the tyre will have been marked as safe by the manufacturer -maybe branded with a small B for bulge.

No leaks when tested-for how long at what speed?

Basically no I wouldn't touch it .

Get the stradas. They are better tyres anyway IMO.

I have never bought a road attack but 2 of my bikes have had them on when i've bought them and needed changing asap. Is it just coincidence with these bikes or do they always wear a stupid way leaving a horrible lumpy tread pattern at about 45 degrees?
