Hey...
Looking over the 2010 "sports" bikes..
Obviously with fuel injection, what happens with say end can replacement? Does it affect it.
Also looking at this bike.. with its hideous excuse for an exhaust..
https://www.yamaha-motor.co.uk/Images/2010-yamaha-YZF-R125_BWC1_colour_studio_001_prv_tcm46-325895.jpg
obviously highly frowned upon here...but how simple with about £400 is it to get a high level exhaust/hangar on the rear foot pegs?
Obviously a longer pipe would need to be added, but would this cause power loss/exhaust trouble?
Just curious |

If it's an official one, then you will often get an official map for it - for instance I got the KTM Akrapovic map put on my 690 after I got the exhaust on ebay.
Oh and that's not a sports bike, it's a faired tarty's commuter .
If it's not official, such as your desire for a possibly bespoke system, you may need some kind of fi controller - however not sure they make them for small bikes as such.
The offer of a play on my bike's still open if you're down this way some time if you want to try at least a properly 'sporty' commuter . |

When I fitted my Termi's the fueling at low revs was much improved, rather than it just chugging along until the revs finally picked up. Now it pulls like a train in any gear.
Plus they look like the dogs proverbials and sound like Thor himself, which is obviously the main reason for getting aftermarket exhausts... ____________________ My Bikes: Piaggio NRG| Aprilia RS 125| Suzuki GSX-R 600|Yamaha Fazer Ducati 848

Ah-ha, in that case yes, G is right.
If it's an Akra/Yoshi/well known make, you may very well be able to get a new map put on designed for that specific exhaust.
If you had a PCIII or similar, there are plenty of maps out there for all kinds of exhausts.
It wouldn't make that much of a difference I imagine, like I said my SV just idles a little lower. ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

Feel free, my sofa is always available - though it should be easily do-able in a day - I got down to the south coast, had a few minutes in the air, sat around for ages in a car, rode slowly to Hastings, had BBQ, rode back and still was home a decent chunk before sunset . |

At £1.20-1.25 a litre, that is:
Somewhere between 12.25 and 12.75 mpg...
WTF do you drive ? |

thats possibly the best sounding 125 ever... i'd love that can on a V twin.. [/sarcasm]
I take it that required no mods other than fitting/positioning of the end pipe..? |

well the r125 uses a 1.5" link pipe (I believe) so im guessing he got hold of a disc saw and a welder.
I hope he done it out of shear boredom, and had a spare pipe and end can and doesn't actually think its any good
there is also one with a cbr exhaust fitted, which I quite like the idea of an underseat exhaust but its still shocking
