i have a 2007 cr 85 and have removed the front engine mount bolt and the bolt from underneath but the rear one which goes through the swinging arm and the engine is being awkward to remove... ne ideas on how to remove it? or do i have to undo the suspension nut at the to to allow it to be able to move about more freely incase it is just seized to that or just the engine???

other than that any other ideas on how to remove it???

many thanks....

Hi

Is it turning? Common problem can be the bolt seizing into the bushes in the swinging arm.

All the best

no it doesnt keith, ive tried a big pair of long nose pliers on it but can get it to turn or to go forwards, if i can just move it out of the frame a few mm then it would be ok to get a spanner onto the flat side n twist it... ive tried covering all of the little gaps in it in plus gas n leaving it but not aving much luck....

Hi

Can you post a few pics?

I would expect a nut on one end. The other end of the bolt might be a normal hex head or might just have a couple of flats and fit located in the frame. In either case once the nut is off the bolt should knock through.

All the best

Keith

Hi

Once the nut is off it should just push through (at which point you find that the bike wasn't securely supported and collapses in a head Wink ).

All the best

Keith
