OK..
so i crashed my GS at christmas, took battery off and took indoors, left bike in our side alley till yesterday.
Picked up a bike with ALOT of useable parts on it, so i can replace pretty much everything but ht leads, lights n clocks!
Swapped forks over, got headlight off and tried to swap exhausts...no go as bolts are rounded off
So basically im sorting my crashed one, put it all together as such, no lights or wheels.
Put battery on, lights lit up on the dash, oil + neutral.
Hit the starter on I heard it try and crank, battery obviously flat.
Cue me grabbing my car battery, rigging it up and attempting to start.
No crank noise at all, got lights, its like the start button is doing jack, obviously cant bump as ive got no wheels on there
Anything worth checking whilst its still in pieces? |

does it at least have the front sprocket on there? There is always a way of "bump" starting an engine.
Is it sparking? Have you measured the volts getting to the starter motor? Have you tried hooking another battery directly up to the starter it's self? (crazy idea I know!) ____________________ will never give up his CG. I look at my fuel gauge more as a progress bar than a fuel gauge.
G: With my GSXR I do often effectively use it as a scooter with a clutch in town.
ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston? |
