1987 Kawasaki KH125

Any help with the following would be greatly appriciated

6 volt system

Only electrics that work when ignition is on

Horn
Indicator relay clicks(But no indicators light up)
Neutral light doesn't even come on

have test lights etc individually with a spare battery and they all work fine

Any ideas?????

The answer is probably "it's supposed to be like that", lots of small bikes have 3 electrical circuits, one runs the ignition, one runs off the battery (usually indicators, horn etc) and the final one runs the lights straight off the alternator, so no running engine = no lights.

If the battery circuit stuff is not running right, you most likely need a new battery. They tend to be cheap and not last too long.

i happen to own the same bike

key on gives me neutral light, horn doesnt work as battery has snuffed it, all the lights are very dim.

Kick it over you have headlights, rear lights, horn etc.

My indicators are hit and miss.

The rear brake switch is notorious for sticking, so check that out.

But in regards to this, is the bike running when you try the lights etc?
