Hi, does anyone know if st/st link pipes can be flared to fit slightly larger diameter downpipes and vice versa? Approx how much would flaring a pipe a few mm cost anyway?

Is it worth doing or are there better ways (i.e. adaptors) that are available? How much are these?

What do you call a few millimetres? One or two and you can buy pipe flaring kits for around £20. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330362590075&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNASIF:GB:1123 . They can be hard work.

Another option is to take it to an exhaust place, they should be able to sort it out.

Any bigger than a couple of mill and you can get adaptors for around the same price.

I had my stainless 3" pipe swaged out on a machine locally, cost me a tenner. The machines are very expensive, so it was a fair price I think.

Basically I have picked up a set of used st/st CBR headers for £50, havent seen them yet though so they might not be a perfect fit on my current link pipe. As I havent yet paid for them I am bringing my exhaust along to check for fit.

I was just wondering if it would still be worth buying them if they didnt fit, for a tenner or so I think I will Thumbs Up .

I'm hoping that they fit well of course Mr. Green .

Thanks all.
