At a minimum, check the following:
Tyres
Chain & Sprockets, just check condition and tension
Oil (just check the level), take some spare with you as the engine will be working harder
Remove or tape up your mirrors
Check all "fixtures & fittings" are secure (e.g. fairings)
Are you riding to the trackday?
If you can, take some basic tools with you, something to sit on (deck chair), some extra fuel (depending on track you will use a lot) and plenty of fluids to drink (especially if it's hot)
More importantly, just listen to the briefing at the beginning of the day and enjoy yourself.
I personally change the oil every two-three trackdays, I think changing it any more reguarly is overkill (and expensive). |
