Hi all,

Started to replace the Clutch on my CBR600FM 1991 this evening.
I'm going along with the haynes manual, but i'm struggling with
finding how tight I need to tighten the 4 springs. There is no
torque setting in the haynes manual. So how do I go about sourcing this?. I put the clutch cover back on and fired the bike up, but as soon as I put it in gear, with the clutch in.. It jolted forward. I'm guessing this is to do with incorrect spring tension?!. Any help on this is appreciated. As I want to get back out on two wheels ASAP! Wink

Did you adjust the cable.
The bolts should be tightened until the plate they go trough is at the alloy
the bolt goes into and then a bit of a turn to lock it tight.

Do I have to tighten the bolts up till I cant tighten anymore?
As I did this and there was no slack in the springs, So I stopped!

Did you leave the plates in oil for a while before you put them in. Question
Tape the lever to the handlebar and leave it over night.
