So after not having a bike for several months, I was in the position to pick up my old GSXR SRAD - my 1st ever bike which I sold to my friend before we moved to Aus.

Since then he's dropped it once, then it got nicked from his back yard, the ignition chopped about, then dumped in a ditch. That was last September, and since then it has sat in his friend's back yard, untouched. Sacrilege I tell ya.

So I was going up to Newcastle this weekend, and arranged to pick it up as I'm buying it off him. I had the amazingly awesome plan of taking it home in my Clio. I removed all but the driver's seat, leaving a nice bike-sized void in the body of the car, ready for insertion.

Apologies for the slightly crap pics, old skool camera (I'm not allowed to use the good one!).

One semi-stripped SRAD:

Tbh, it was a LOT bigger than I had anticipated, but it all went in - just! Covered it with a sheet and drove the 325miles home in the pissing rain, taking it very easy!

All I have to do is fix it up & save some cash for the insurance etc etc. Plan is for it to be ready for summer 2011, when my licence will be clean again.

It sure is nice to have it back!

However if I might say I think you could have done one better and posted a thread with the title: 'GSXR smashes into my Clio'. Laughing

Haha, that's mental! Very Happy

Now, if you put the car inside a box van, the van in a lorry, and then take the Chunnel...

..you'd have a bike in a car in a van in a lorry in a train.

It got busted when the theives dropped it - not from the delicate insertion process!

Whan a plan is as ridiculous as this, you know it is a winner. Cool
