How bad is the dimming? Has it always done it or just started? Mine has always done it a tiny bit, also when I brake the headlight dims very slightly. It's just the nature of the YBR's electrics. I can still run heated grips and my sat nav with no noticable difference on the lights and have been doing so for the best part of 2 years. The battery is original (must be over 4 years old now) but still fine and dandy, I check the specific gravity and top it up every service if it needs it. ____________________ CBT February 2008 | A2 June 2008 | Yamaha YBR125 (written off) | Honda CBF125 (current) |

Most probably the battery, have you tested the voltage at stand sitll and at higher revs?
Mine does this on the GS, but it still works fine. ____________________ My current bikes are - YZF-R1 & GS 500 E

But when if you have a low/faulty battery with lights and indicator working alongside low revving, it would cause the headlight to dip no?
What sort of things are you thinking of on the history? ____________________ My current bikes are - YZF-R1 & GS 500 E
