My Honda Magna needs a new front brake line fitted.

How crucial to the operation of the system is the angle of the new banjo bolts that are fitted ? Will any angle do, so long as the line does not kink or abrade other components ? Common sense says yes any will do, but I am pretty much a novice when it comes to dealing with hydraulic brake systems first hand, any advice welcome.

There should be two lugs cast into the master cylinder and caliper to guide the stem of the banjo. Anywhere between the lugs is good.
You should be using new washers too. These are compression seals that form a metal to metal seal by deforming and conforming to the surfaces between the bolt, banjo and housing.

Before you hoi it all up tight you should check the routing doesn't allow fouling, twists or kinks in the lines. Use the clamps they are designed to prvent chaffing of hose and damage to frame or the hose being trapped between moving parts.

Walloper beat me to it. I've recently upgraded the lines on the Bandit ... +1 with Walloper
