It sounds like carb problems, get a manual "on-line". Then check that you have the air screw and needle etc set as they should be and that the throttle and choke cables correctly adjusted.

If that doesn`t sort it, you should check for the most common problems;

1.fuel starvation (caused by kinked fuel lines or crap in the fuel lines. or very rare on newish bikes faulty fuel tap).

2.air leaks around the carb rubbers and manifold.

3. strip and clean the carbs using compressed air to clean the jets and airways, also check that the floats are set to the correct height.

I`m sure others will offer far more advice but that is where I`d start

Hi,
try turning the idle up.
theres an idle adjust screw on the side of the carb, black plastic knob, turn it clockwise to increase the revs, do this once the bikes warmed up.
if it makes no difference the air screw will need adjusting.
cheers,
GAZ

i have an rs 125 2001 model. Chain snapped on me got the bike home, started it few days later to try keeping charge in the battery, worked ok,
few days later went to start again put choke on, started it up i got a lil power on the throttle then it cut off, since them it has never started again,
Firts i thought i had flooded it, tuck plug out fired it over, no fuel came shootin out, tried again, still no joy
Replaced the plug still no joy, checked the spark thats good, still no joy, im now going to clean the carb and air filter.
Does any1 have any advise for me??
some1 told me when a chain snaps it can knock the engine out of timing!! is this true?? could this be y it wont start

HELP PLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
