Hello,

I came across a leaflet in my MOT testing station a couple of weeks back, and I was impressed with what I saw. I wasn't sure if it was a current one or an old one, but it had been carefully placed inside a plastic A4 wallet.

A couple of days back I got the latest issue of Bike magazine, and I found out why.

Norton are back, and it seems real this time. They've got ex-Triumph people working for them which is a good sign, and as you can see the bikes look great!

Shame its £16k...

I went to Donnington a few weeks ago to have a look at the factory. Its not much more than a really big shed and there was only 3 guys assembling the bikes at the rate of one a day. That said the will to succeed was very strong and the quality of the parts was excellent.

They had vacancies for junior and senior production staff, I'd imagine it would be a good place to work.

Real nice bike but 16k for it is just crazy.

It looks like it has an oil cooler.

If I was given one I would glue a kick starter to the gear box.
It should come with a kick start.

They look stunning and the quality of components is out of this world. My only worry is that they find sufficient people with deep pockets prepared to pay the asking price for what is, on paper, not a hugely impressive machine.

I think they will do alright. They had already sold all the bikes they were planning to make for the first production run, around 200? There are a lot of oldish blokes out there with more money than they know what to do with. Look at Bentley, Aston Martin, Morgan etc.

I guess the closest thing to it in terms of dynamics is the tube framed Buells...

I bet the Buell guys will be creaming themselves, although they may balk at the price.

I think they look fantastic. The price doesn't surprise me and I can't see them struggling to sell at that point either. I mean christ even a multistrada costs 14 grand these days and that's a mass manufactured bike.

Another one for the dream garage I think.

Back in the day (when I was a young lad) I built a Triton.

Now, I is salivating over that. I wonder if the wife would mind taking out a second mortgage
