I have a new build with a Asus P6X58D-E MOBO with a blu ray and a Sata drive I'm fairly certain when I first built it, both optical drives worked fine. Now the blu ray drive doesn't, It shows up in the raid controller but not in Windows, the DVD does but the blu ray doesn't there is power going to it, and I have tried swapping the data leads, no joy. I changed the raid controller from RAID to AHCI nothing. I also plugged the drive in using a USB - SATA cable which worked.

Any ideas?

No but I did install daemon tools which may be the cause.
