The ybrs are good, i did my tests on one and it was very easy to handle. The newer ones have a bit more poke through it being injection i think. But whether you'll find an older one for under £1k i'm not sure.
Other than that, the CG's are popular and reliable as are the Gs' which i can vouch for Mine got me through a year of relitivly fun and reliable riding
Insurance for me on my 125 was £435 a year although i think that was partly because of the area i'm in. Still cheaper than for a car though
