Lifan LF 125 - j Eletrick problem

My otherhalf has started riding an got her self a cheap 125 (chinese) its the LF 125-j it has a strange problem with the techometre, the rev counter, fuel gage and gear display dasnt work when the engin is running or in neutral.

now the strange thing is if the engine is off in gear and the ignition is on it all works but only if i try an start the bike while it is in gear via the start button (Clutch out) . and it only stays all active if i hold the switch in i know this because you see the display light up with the gear you are in and you see the fuel needle rise up obviously the rev counter does not move as the engine is not running.

so any ideas on this no brainer?

I had a very similar bike (was also an LF125) and it had a few weird electrical problems.

However, I ultimately solved them with copious amounts of WD40.

will never give up his CG. I look at my fuel gauge more as a progress bar than a fuel gauge.
G: With my GSXR I do often effectively use it as a scooter with a clutch in town.

hmm ok i have been tryong to find a diagram of the eletrics on line but cvant seem to find it anyware , i want to be sure that all the wireing is ok and as goes for the wireing in the clocks because there so many different connections going in placess that baffle me for such a simple bike i have a cg an there must be twice as many cables on the lifan than that

if you're anywhere near plymouth/cornwall ive got one you can have if you collect it. All complete apart from the fairings. Clocks show about 1500 but its done about 11k

edit: just noticed yours is different. Mines an lf125 30

its been sat since 2007 on the driveway, but it runs if you fuel it up. Frames snapped on one of the crossbars and its an 06 plate. All electrics and stuff there.
You'll need a van in case you hadnt realised.

Ill just get onto the mother and make sure it doesnt get thrown in the skip if you want it, as thats what would have happened in the next couple of days
