Hi all, hope you can help me.

Have my bike for a few months now (Hornet 600cc, 04), been riding in all weathers (commuting) and so far never went to the Doctor (garage).
I can feel i need to change brake pads and maybe rear brake disc, need to chande brake fluid as well, and probably change or just clean the spark plugs as quite often now it does not fire up at first.

well, my question is if there is anybody here that could suggest a good garage where I could go and not be ripped off?

Before I took on all my bike servicing myself I used Woodford Motorcycles and seemed to have good results from them, although being a dealer I'd suspect they would be expensive, and I know they didn't stick to the exact service schedule for my bike (never topped up the battery or greased certain parts after a certain mileage etc but I'm nit picking here). After hearing so many bad stories about dodgy workshops, I would never take my bike to one again unless there was something monumentally wrong with it.

The stuff you describe is quite straightforward to do if you have a service/Haynes manual by your side and the right tools and of course, time. Save yourself a fortune in labour charges and know that the job was done correctly! Thumbs Up

Do you by any chance know how much they charge for carb cleaning and balancing?

Thanks.
