I need a set and I was looking at these as they are on special offer as a pair.

Are the cheap ones OK, or is it advisable to spend a bit more money?

I believe these ones are TEC7 though?

Reading through the reviews almost everyone has said they are of good quality, just lack of instructions..

I've got that rear stand in the picture. It doesn't have inner bits on the swingarm cups. Its the only one that I could find that fits the Buell because the swingarm is so wide both on each arm and the distance between the arms.

I wouldn't trust it on any other bike though, because the cups are crap and it wobbles like crazy. The only reason it works on the Buell is because the huge Buell swingarm keeps the paddock stand braced apart.

Got them, got the bobbins on the bike and bought the little hooks to attach the bobbins with.

Work a treat. Thumbs Up.

Depends on what kind of use its gonna get. If its occasional use then a cheap one will be fine, if you're gonna literally keep the bike on the stands then buy better ones. Decent ones are so much more sturdy but cheap ones still do the job imo.

These ones are meant to be good from Germany:

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AIO-Paddock-Stand-Ducati-Monster-600-620-695-696-750-80-/400127739886?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5d2978c7ee

They are adjustable for front and rear, check if they do it for your bike Thumbs Up

Bike Tek aren't they?

They are ok for the money. Pretty wobbley.

I changed my rear one of those to a Harris item and the difference is night and day. Much better build quality and easier to use, but it did cost a fair bit more.

Those design front stands are a nightmare to use and don't give you many options ... a 'bottom yoke pin' one is a much better investment! Thumbs Up

I have a cheap rear stand which I had welded up before I would fully trust it.

My front stand is a Motrax one-piece in black, and is good.

I'd advise going for one-piece stands rather than those that fold flat.

Harris stands are really good and well worth the extra bucks in my opinion.

I've got BikeTek stand rear and under yoke front.. I'm happy with them and for my Aprilia RS 125 I didn't need anything better. I bought them on ebay and paid 70ish quid for both.

How it will be with RSV1000 I don't know yet.

Couple of axle stands under the footpeg brackets (or foot pegs if not folding) to do the swingarm removal.

Or just wedge the abba stand or similar in somewhere else Smile.

These abba stand then are they worth the money? Can they be used with other bikes or do I have to buy a new one when I change bike?

You buy new adaptors when you change bike.
They are useful for taking the front end entirely off.

Hmmm If I can buy one and never have to get another stand again it might be worth the investment.

Aprilia Nutter - You have an RSV1000!?!! Cool
