What the hell is this
https://www.dcct.org
I keep getting emails (bypassing my spam filter) about "Saving money on gas", obviously American, and "Maximise Power" "Improves efficiency"...
In theory, if you read it, it sounds ok, but im thinking that its a pile of shit and i shouldnt be taking any notice of it.
Has anyone heard of, or actualy tried this thing out? Would anyone try it out? and, would it have any effect on a 2smoke, assuming it actualy does what it claims?
It says "WORKS ON ALL VEHICLES.. ANY MODEL, ANY YEAR!" works on gas(assuming peterol is the same) diesel and propane gas" "For all engines (4,6, & 8 cylinder) Gas or diesel" ____________________ Dreams will get you nowhere, a good kick up the arse will take you a long way.

its $89.95!
Thats about fifty quid!
Also, its HUGE, about the size of half a brick. Seems like money for old rope to me. I can't see it working somehow.
Even if its just a huge magnet, I don't really see what that does any better than a magnetic oil filter or something.
Sounds a bit like that mobile phone pyramid scheme we had on here last week. Cough *ripoff* cough.

My thinking (not that I've even looked at the web site) is that if these things worked so well don't you think the car industry et al would be already using them as standard.
After all they try to give maximum efficiency and performance from an engine while keeping longevity these days.
So to summarize, don't waste your money. ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!

They sell those in the UK, if i remember rightly the 'magnet' sifts through the particles either charging them or rearranging them, some of our customers who operate HGV's use them and claim they get a cut in fuel burn and an increace in efficency. may be worth a look at if you got the cash to burn, I wouldn't expact amazing results, but if your an HGV operator spending upwards of £15K a year on fuel every penny counts ____________________ A scientist crossed a skunk with an owl. I assume the difference was noticed by you and not actually measured etc? Have you ever though it could of been in your head?
Bit like a placebo?
I would love to actually get one and get a car/bike whatever setup on a rolling road and have everything measured to see if it made any difference though. ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!

So how does putting a magnet around the fuel line actually improve the efficency of an engine? (Please dont quote thier sales stuff, as its bullshit! ) |

I got an email from another company, Fuelcat, yesterday after I asked them a few questions about fitting there product to 2 strokes and small (125) engines.
| Guys from Fuelcat wrote: | Dear Peter,
Over last 14 years have done many Fuelcat's to two stroke car and bike units. The benefits include quieter, in most cases, and smoother running engine, with more power. Fuelcat acts as an octane booster, so making fuel burn better. It works with petrol, diesel, oil and kerozine. We do units for lawnmowers to ocean going ships etc. You need tank unit up to 750cc, which as it implies, just drops in the tank. Lasts for 250,000 miles and of course comes with a money back guarantee. (PJ SEZ - ASSUMING YOU CAN FISH THE THING BACK OUT) It also allows use of unleaded instead of leaded fuel. The White Helmets display team have been using unleaded instead of leaded for last 3 years, without problems.
You may buy on line through our secure page.
Regards Philip |
| Guys from Fuelcat, again wrote: | Forgot to mention as unit is in tank, it stops fuel degenerating in tank, so fuel is always fresh. |
This one is £25 quid. Is there any point? £5 will, if i ride sensibly, take me about 80 miles, will it really improve it that much that id notice from paying £5?

What about the make? You know that?
You recon you would be able to get a second from them?
Maybe you could have a word? Assuming that the one your going to get will go in or on an NSR.
