Hi Gearboxkart,
I was gonna say it was chained but then during the conversation, she told me the call was being monitored and recorded for fraudulent reasons, so I lost my bottle and just told them the truth that only the steering lock was on. It's early days, the insurance company have asked me to send in the keys/copy of cbt/registration documents etc, so there is hope that they may pay out, if not I shall have to put it down to a bad experience.
The thing is, I have just today bought a new bike(Suzuki gn125) and taken out new insurance with bikesure, I told bikesure of my experiences and they said I do not need a d-lock or chain for my bike, if it gets pinched, just claim, no quibble. The only policies that require lock and chain is if the bike cost or value is in the region of £5000 or more.
Also, I must also say the Police have been very good to me although there is little they can do.
Cheers

Hi Everyone, it's been awhile....
Today I'm very happy because I received a really beefy cheque from my old insurance company compensation for my stolen Derbi.I've bought a Suzuki GN125H from Granby. Wow what a bike, it runs as sweet as silk compared to the Derbi, I'm very pleased with my new bike it's just mega ace. It turns out the thief did me favour ha,ha
Cheers
