I used to always advocate the option with the insurance............. until it let me down big time with the small print. Coat me loads on top of the £30.
I have gone back to the RAC, did a package that does all the home start, take anywhere, puts you up, any vehicle you are in or on or with. All for £82.
When the car snapped it's throttle cable it was fixed for free by the RAC just because I had my Dad with me who was in the RAC. That is what changed my mind. ____________________ Famous last words of Humpty Dumpty. " Stop pushing me "

I'm with GEM Motoring Assist
https://www.motoringassist.com/home
They have numerous awards from Auto Express etc for their service and when my old man had to use them they arrived quickly and even text when they were on their way.
Their top policy is £82.80 plus you get to add another person for free as the joint policy is the same price. That then covers you for any car/bike and light vans.
If you also go to www.topcashback.co.uk and sign up you'll get £15.00 back ____________________ Current ride - Yamaha MT-07 |

What level of cover are you looking at with Green Flag. As I have both car and bike and its no where near £100.
Unless you are going abroard then Recovery or Recovery + is enough and they are from £48. Try also looking at personal cover which I think does not ask for bike/car details.
Remember check out cash back sites... Quidco offer upto £30 for green flag. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

I usually make sure that breakdown cover is included with the insurance policy ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

So if i change my oil every 3/4 weeks it'll stop me getting a puncture in Carlisle or my diff from striping the cogs on the M25?

Why bother paying £120 a year when you already have ADAC coverage?
You are covered in the UK by ADAC and guess who they use for call outs? The AA
Plus the ADAC cover has all the bells and whistles, such as covering the person, roadside rescue, recovery to wherever you want. etc.... |
ADAC won't give me a car if bike is screwed, don't cover my other half and when i ring the AA i don't (often) have to ask if there is someone there who speaks English. |
Really, last time i had a puncture, they offered me a car, train or flight, to my destination, and that was in the UK... Everytime i have called them they spoke perfect English.
Can't comment on the wife thing though, i don't want one of those. |

bollocks to breakdown cover i dont bother with it, if i break down i get my mate to come get me in the van and fix it myself, whats the point in paying for someone else to do it when you can do it for free lol.
plus not many places will cover me cause my bikes over 15 years old
