I am stuck between the two. After reading, commenting, laughing and what not at my other thread, i've decided to go for a geared 50 and one of the 2, so please vote.

VOTES STAY ON UNTIL DECEMBER 1st!!

I won't vote. Having rode the SR-50 before, i know that all 50cc 2 strokes are shit!! Drink as much as a 600, but can only offer you a max true speed of 55 or indicated 60. Just Shit!

Save it, put it into a Saving account or summit, and buy a 125cc 2 or 4stroke.
So much MORE POWER than those shitty 50. Even the 4 stroke 125s pull much stronger

They are both pretty much the same. Not sure if it still is the case but they used to use the exact same engine anyway.

Both Derbi and Aprillia are owned by the same parent company anyway.

I had an RS50, so I voted for that! Wink.

In reality, there is no difference but aesthetics. You have to squeeze the engine to get any power out, gear after gear up to a roaring maximum of maybe 55mph. Laughing!

I like Derbi GPR50 nude (naked version) which looks like triumph street triple. And it has more relaxed position and you'll be happy both in town and countryside.

As above - two choices of a very similar bike, so doesn't seem worth voting.
I made my suggestions in the other thread - DT50, TS50 or similar. It may not have the looks or design freshness you are looking, but I think they would offer you a better biking experience.

most 50's are the same engine, kinda like guitars, most of them are made in the same factories.

Didn't vote because IMO a 50cc is just for learning, don't worry about speed, looks or anything. It'll always look like a 50 eventually. Sound like it, and go like it.

Just use it for learning, take more consideration into what bike you want after your test.

You're going to be always learning, but this is the bit were you read a whole book to learn, then after your test, you take it page by page.

Learn on any geared 50, then worry about what bike you want to be seen on.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Sorry, I wouldn't want to advise you on a bike I know nothing about. The only 50cc's I have ridden and would recommend, are AR50, GN50, DT50 (don't know if these are still being made these days) but all were good bikes (IMO). Thumbs Up
