Shouldn't lose that much when you finish pumping it up.
You don't have one of those tyre pressure indicators on the valve cap do you?
I've seen a few of those that were faulty.

Check the tyre valve isn't leaking first. It costs nothing to spit on it Thumbs Up

Probably the valve that has gone, they do go sometimes. It's certainly alot cheaper to check than to buy a new tire.

Swap the valves front and rear, see if the problem moves. Your valve might only be opening at speed by the way so watch out for that.

So you were travelling at 1mph but instead of braking you dropped it?

Do you do this at junctions to come to A more abrupt stop too?

It doesn't take much glass to puncture a tire. I noticed the tire on my bike was low, aired it up and after a few days sitting in the garage it was completely flat. Checked the tire over and saw nothing wrong. Another much closer inspection revealed a small slither of glass in the tire. I took the tire and had the puncture patched. A week later it was flat again. Another close check of the tire revealed a second piece of glass. Replaced the tire and a month later got a nail right on the edge 2 days before my first trackday. Slightly annoying.

I had this problem today! The front tyre has been losing a bit of pressure very, very slowly. This morning I got up and was about to head off for work but the front was really spongy so I decided against it. Went to the tyre place today when i got in from work and they had a look. Turns out a tiny bit on the inside of the rim had corroded, and this was allowing the air to escape. He just scrubbed it with a wire brush for me and voila - no more leaks, and only a fiver.

Happy days! Smile

Bike on stand - wheel turning - pour it on, or apply with a brush/sponge.

Over it, or wheel in a container ... ?? Confused

If you can get the wheel off then get it in the sink, when her indoors is out of the way Wink

Other than that, brush water onto the wheel as you rotate it and watch for the bubbles.
