DOUBLE GARAGE! Boyhood dreams come true, theres a bit more of it out of shot on the right, its probably nearer 2 and a 1/3 garages.

So many options now, another bike that I wont ride, some gym stuff, a massive beer fridge. Christ knows who painted it brown though

Oh yeah and it comes with a house that will keep the mrs quiet!

Nice. Just a shame house prices are falling through the floor, but why wait a lifetime waiting for prices to hit rock bottom.

I've kinda consigned myself to the fact that I won't be owning a house until i'm at least 30 or at all.

To be honest Jon Im not THAT far off 30 myself! House was valued at £122k and I picked it up for £110k but we dont see that much of the changes round here in Cumbria though.

Glad I saved up, the solicitors fees and mortgage stuff is extortionate! Been saving for about 18 months and Im buying it on my own, not easy!

Oh and the garage floor has been PAINTED!!! And theres electricity and running water in there. Just need to make it as secure as poss!

BTW, those garage doors couldn't be any less secure, they look like something from a 1960's build. My parents had those identical garage doors broken into numerous times. Since they got a new garage door they haven't had any problems. (touchwood)

Im going to purposely ensure that it doesnt turn into the usual dumping ground that garages do, Ive got a house for all that rubbish to go in. Once Ive got the keys, I'll whore some photos of the inside! Will start looking for titty calendars and other traditional 'man stuff' to adorn the walls with!

Ahhhhhhh I like your thinking! Trouble is I'd be getting new doors/door and I cant bring myself to paint them brown afterwards! Maybe I could write 'This garage is kept empty at night' on it like they do with vans??

The previous owners were a pair of coppers and the bloke had a bike stored in there so theres a few security extras already there but I will be wantng MOAR!!

Also I want one of those front wheel stands that keeps the bike upright, anyone tried one?

Thanks! Totally my plan too, was expecting to have to sell the bike because I couldnt afford a house with a drive, let alone a garage but this one came along and they were in a rush! Jackpot for villers!

My garage looks very plain from the outside and brown also .
Although not as yukky as that brown .
But bad luck for the scroat that tries to get in = 2 locks from the inside + every bike is chained up + small p.i.r. alarm + my small barky dog, + i can be VERY violent if someone is trying to nick my stuff allegedly

Hi

When we were house hunting we went looking for a garage with a house attached. Finding anything with a decent size garage is difficult. Think ours was 19'6" x 20'6" when we bought it (we have had it extended a bit to use up some dead space behind were the oil tank for the heating used to be, but that means the extension is a fairly odd shape).

Down side is that you will fill it up and then need to tidy it up. Which is (from last weekends efforts) a total pain, and you will forget what is stored in there.

Hopefully your move will be smooth - unlike our last one when it all fell apart with a removals van on the drive, waiting to move in (mortgage problems further down the chain)!
