After a year of saving for the deposit and stuff Ive found the house I want and now Im going through the bullshit mortgage/solicitor part. Anyway nothing special just a 2 bed end terrace blah blah blah but it comes with..
https://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c186/villersCBR/01092010124.jpg
DOUBLE GARAGE! Boyhood dreams come true, theres a bit more of it out of shot on the right, its probably nearer 2 and a 1/3 garages.
So many options now, another bike that I wont ride, some gym stuff, a massive beer fridge. Christ knows who painted it brown though
Oh yeah and it comes with a house that will keep the mrs quiet! ____________________ RS125 > CBR6 > SV650S > ZX636R > GSX1300RZ Hayabusa > 06 RSVR Mille > SV1000S > Street Triple 765 RS |

If i had a garage that big away from the house, I`d live in it .
If that was going to be mine, i`d let her do what she liked in the house as long as she stayed away from my garage!

Which part of fixing things whilst sat on a comfy chair doesnt the mrs understand
Im going to purposely ensure that it doesnt turn into the usual dumping ground that garages do, Ive got a house for all that rubbish to go in. Once Ive got the keys, I'll whore some photos of the inside! Will start looking for titty calendars and other traditional 'man stuff' to adorn the walls with!

Thanks! Totally my plan too, was expecting to have to sell the bike because I couldnt afford a house with a drive, let alone a garage but this one came along and they were in a rush! Jackpot!
If that was mine I'd kit one side out for bikes and fettling and the other for recreation. I would definitely look into getting a proper pool table. |

My garage looks very plain from the outside and brown also .
Although not as yukky as that brown .
But bad luck for the scroat that tries to get in = 2 locks from the inside + every bike is chained up + small p.i.r. alarm + my small barky dog, + i can be VERY violent if someone is trying to nick my stuff allegedly ____________________ I am the sum total of my own existence, what went before makes me who I am now! |

does it have another door? ie to the garden if so get some paracute cord and tie the main doors to the ground that way they'll need a forklift to get them open. ____________________ "intelligent inattention is preferable to unintelligent tinkering"

Hi
When we were house hunting we went looking for a garage with a house attached. Finding anything with a decent size garage is difficult. Think ours was 19'6" x 20'6" when we bought it (we have had it extended a bit to use up some dead space behind were the oil tank for the heating used to be, but that means the extension is a fairly odd shape).
Down side is that you will fill it up and then need to tidy it up. Which is (from last weekends efforts) a total pain, and you will forget what is stored in there.
All the best

Congratulations - looking for a place myself (going back to look again at one tomorrow, that does have a garage before anyone asks)
Hopefully your move will be smooth - unlike our last one when it all fell apart with a removals van on the drive, waiting to move in (mortgage problems further down the chain)! ____________________ Current bike: Kawasaki Z750S |
