Hi Zene, welcome to the forum.
Now, I don't know about the MTX 125, but on my MZ ETZ301 you just needed to take the side cover off of the engine. The hard part was re-tensioning the spring again. The trick was to clamp the kick start shaft in a vice, fit the engine case over the spline and locate the spring in the hole in the cover, then rotate the cover around 1 and a third turns, and fit the kickstart lever.
I realise that might not apply to the MTX, but if the MTX *is* like that then it'll help you out a lot, cos I tore my hair out for ages trying to fit it back together. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |
