I need help brothers!
Turns out my bike is a bit of a whale for a 125 and I couldn't make it up past 49km/h no matter what I tried.
I'm seriously considering hiring a bike for the day (and having to stump up a large deposit) or selling the aforementioned whale and buying a CG125 to use for mod 1 + 2.
Are there any other options I can try to get my current bike up to speed in time? |

whack your tyre pressures up as well, don't brim the tank, make sure the brakes aren't dragging at all, maybe clean and gap the spark plug (makes a surprising difference) and try 3rd maybe through the bend? clutchless shift seems a good idea too, worth a try. I managed 53 in 2nd gear for the swerve and 52 changing to 3rd for the E-stop. i found that the best response was to take a racing line through the bend and try to get on the throttle as soon as possible.. no not then, sooner. good luck. ____________________ 57 Huoniao HN125-8 - , 97 Kawasaki GPZ500S -

your 125 should manage 32 in the space given, easy!! couple of questions, were you redline in 2nd? and were you sittin bolt upright or down on the tank?
if you were redlining then flick up to 3rd, no clutch required, will do it fine without, and if it wasnt redline in 2nd then get yourself tucked in on the tank and thet should get you there, remember that on the swerve test you dont touch the brakes till your by the swerve so dont worry about gettin on the brakes while tucked in, get it all done after the swerve and youll be dandy |
The bike has no rev counter, all I can tell you it was screaming it's little lungs out in 2nd, and I was tucked in.
I'm trying to nab a CG to get to know the mechanical side of bikes, so when I find a CG I may just use that instead |
