 Posted: 18:31 - 05 Oct 2010 Post subject: Exhausts on a derbi senda? Sorry :P |
 |
|
Looks like its time to get a new exhaust. Okay, so I dont want to make a topic like:
'ere got me 50 innit and wanna make 30 horsepower and I have a mate whos duz 103 mph and I got a air filter'
No. Looking like the baffles have gone in my exhaust and there is no way to repack it as it is one bit of metal. Besides it is almost black anyway as the previous owner just didnt clean the exhaust.
I am after an exhaust that is around or if possibly below £150. Done my research and cant find many on the net. Wanted to get a Gianelli as apparently it gives you some midrange. As does the Leo Vince v6. Unfortunately, however, I have the left-hand side exhaust model so I cant find one. Am also interested if anyone knows where to get a metrakit?
Been eyeing up the technigas enox. Its cheap and does the job. I have had some bad words but basically I am after an exhaust that looks similar to the original. Isnt rediculously loud and that doesnt make my bike run like turd. My bike is supposed to run a 71 main jet, a 33 idle and a 30 slide valve. It actually has a 99 main, 34 (I think) idle and 40 slide valve. Not good. Dad wants to put it back to normal and when I said it is a deristricted exhaust he went on a rant about the usual legal shit. So stubborn wouldnt listen. So he said buy what you want and I will fit it. Gonna try and ask him for a hand again later.
So, anyone have any reviews on the tecnigas? And do you know where I can get a lhs exhaust either by gianelli, metrakit or leo vince?
Thankyou. I dont mean to be the typical 16 year old, just after a replacement exhaust.
Ps. Jets? ____________________ Rusty '02 Vito Camper + CBR600F3 |

Just looking at their site, it seems they only sell the 'Big One' exhausts. May be a bad idea. Its like asking Asda, where can I find Tesco's own brand deo please :L
Anyone know what these 'zorsts are like?

Haha. Well, quite interested in that arrow exhaust. Its a week til it finishes yet. Would you get it, bearing in mind the condition? And will it definately fit my bike as its for an 02 model?
At the moment I am in the process of buying new jets and throttle slide. As I mentioned above I am trying to get back to the standard but what would you advise if I was to put this, or another sports exhaust, on my bike?
Thankyou guys! ____________________ Rusty '02 Vito Camper + CBR600F3 |

Just noticed this. I think it may be worth paying just an extra £25-60 to get a new exhaust that isnt as rusty and isnt so conspicuous. The arrow has really obnoxious weld lines that yes, look better but are a bit obvious.
Here is the exhaust in question, fourth down: https://www.pjme.co.uk/acatalog/Derbi_Senda_50_Performance_Exhausts_.html
The deristriction images look a bit odd. Am I right in thinking that it is just a washer at the front. This image shows it to be at the front and at the back :S
Jets?
Thanks in advance
Ps. My dad has asked me is there any gaskets for the exhaust? I cant seem to find any :/ ____________________ Rusty '02 Vito Camper + CBR600F3 |

I cant seem to find any :/
So if I just buy an end can, will I have to upjet? If so what jets shall i run. If you say the same, the ones the guy who had the bike before me was running were all wrong. If I was to revert to standard, it would then be wrong, right?
Thanks for the help guys ____________________ Rusty '02 Vito Camper + CBR600F3 |

Hmm just waiting for a reply from them to see if it is a lefty as you really cant tell in the photo.
The guy with the arrow has no feedback and he reckons he is selling it cos he sold his bike a while back and doesnt know what jets he used as it came with the bike.
Been thinking about a 'Big One' again as they are £30 cheaper than the Metrakit.
Did anyone have a look at that photo of the derestriction? :S
And please, please, please: jets help ____________________ Rusty '02 Vito Camper + CBR600F3 |
