I havent gotten around to doing my car test yet and I'm looking forward to my midlife crisis. Instead of having a break down and buying a bike I might get a car instead.

What a load of rubbish!! Anyone who makes an effort to prepare a bit after driving a car for years & getting into a few bad habits will be fine with theory test.
Sounds like she has a boulder on her shoulder ____________________ First bike: 2002 CG. Now riding lime green 2008 ER6N. |

I suppose it has, because nowadays you have a bigger chance of coming across things which you need to think about.
I have a 1979 'Department of Transport Manual' essentially a driving book that I got for my 18th from my Grandpa. And reading through, 90 per cent of it is still extremely valid in how to cope with situations. The 10 per cent being use of the choke which of course is more or less obsolete now even on old bangers.
However, my first car and my present has choke and it gives you that edge about technical knowhow that other young drivers know naff all about. ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

Meh, both the theory test and hazard perception test are ridiculously easy.
Didn't revise for my car one, just turned up a booking on a cancellation that was the next day, went in and nailed it, absolutely fine.
Didn't revise for my bike one and did the same.
Just requires common sense, most difficult question: "what is a cover note used for?"
I'd never bought insurance however out of a choice of "road tax, temporary driving licence, vehicle log book and insurance"... It was obvious, only thing that covers something is insurance. You tax something, you hold a licence, you keep a logbook, you are covered by insurance.
Simples. If you really need to revise for the theory test to get a pass damn... That's shocking. Even the braking distance questions were a piece of cake when turned into multiple choice.
For comparison of tests, car test sat in 2007, bike test sat in 2009. ____________________ 2008 VFR800 VTEC |
