Fudging indicator relay

Well I got some new rear indicators for my cbr 400 because the OEM ones looked horrible and the rear left one had stopped working and the bolts were rounded on it etc etc so thought sod it and bought led ones.

Thought that because i only have leds at the back I might be able to get away without buying an led relay however they flash like mad.
So I've been trying to hunt down a three pin led relay for the cbr and can't find anything.

Was wondering if you guys might know where I can get one or a trick to doing it another method?

i think some people put resistors on them to slow um down,but not exactly sure where or how

I was thinking about trying to fit some sort of a resistor onto each indicators but not sure what size I would get and that just involves too much mucking about and trail and error.

Esoteric1 has too much knowledge :L
Looked at those relays which are like 20 quid, May have to buy one of those since I plan on keeping the bike as standard as possible with minimal modifications because I hate wiring!

WHat wattage are your new ones? Busters do an 8w one for 2.99. It probably won't be too bad if you have an incan at the front.

If you want to go with resistors, you're using R=V^2/P. Find out what the stock bulbs are, stick it in for P, V=13.5 ish. fanny's your aunt. Just make sure you get a decent wirewound resistor.

Maplin do 10W ones (thats maximum continuous dissipation). I'd be tempted to use 2 in series to give yourself some headroom (just halve the resistance). Wiring is easy, just split one of the wires & put the resistors in series (edit, with each other, parallel to the indicator).

Hopefully that makes sense (I've seen this done litterally hundreds of times, used to work in maplins next door to a HG.)
