when riding at lower rpms for long periods of time my temp guage seems to go up to the half way point maybe a bit higher but once i open the throttle up a bit it seems to cool down and go back to normal opertain temperature. if have the bike idling for a while eg. stuck in a non moving traffic my temp gauge will start to rise. any ideas what the problem may be? i have recently changed my coolant. i bled the air as the manual says opening up the bleed screw on the cylinder until coolant starts to seep out freely. is it possible i still have ai trapped in the system. thanks in advance

Doesn't sound like there's any problem. As long as it isn't going right into the red.

The temp will rise and fall depending on speed. Thats why most cars and bikes have a fan on the radiator. If travelling slow for too long there isn't enough airflow through the radiator so the temp starts to rise. When it gets to a certain temp the fan kicks in to bring it down.

You are probably just paying more attention to it after changing it.
All bikes warm up when stationary and cool down when moving.
